Irvine-based Taco Bell has renewed its decades-long partnership with PepsiCo to continue serving the brand’s products in stores through 2036.
The collaboration, responsible for the fast-food chain’s Mountain Dew Baja Blast drinks and the Doritos Locos Tacos, includes Taco Bell Cantina locations and the newer Live Más Cafes. It also extends to international markets such as Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Thailand.
“The partnership will focus on staying ahead of emerging beverage trends across crafted, functional and energy beverages, including energy offerings designed to appeal to Gen Z consumers and unlock new morning and afternoon occasions,” PepsiCo said in a statement.
Taco Bell is Orange County’s largest restaurant chain ranked by systemwide sales while PepsiCo generated nearly $94 billion in net revenue in 2025.
The decision comes a week after Taco Bell’s sister brand, KFC, announced plans to drop Pepsi and, for the first time, go with Coca-Cola at all 3,600 KFC restaurants in the U.S. beginning in January 2027.
