SBC Medical Group Holdings Inc., a medical services organization with dual headquarters in Japan and Irvine, today announced that it has begun development of a test to estimate an individual’s biological age using DNA methylation analysis.
While chronological age measures the number of years someone has been alive, biological age measures the physical condition of cells, tissues and organ systems.
The test aims to give a clearer picture of a person’s physical health than age alone can provide, establishing a baseline to guide personalized wellness and lifestyle changes. Development will be led by the company’s subsidiary, SBC AI Longevity Innovation Inc.
Shares in SBC (Nasdaq: SBC) fell 1.4% to $5.46 apiece with a $562 million market cap.
