Anduril Industries co-founder Palmer Luckey said he has raised $200 million for his new company called Warhound to breed genetically engineered dogs for the U.S. military, law enforcement and emergency responders.
Investors include Sequoia, 8VC, Franklin Templeton, Breyer Capital and In-Q-Tel, a venture firm backed by the CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies, Warhound said.
The round values the company at $1.2 billion, according to industry website TechCrunch.
Luckey founded Warhound with Colossal Biosciences’ CEO Ben Lamm. The dogs themselves do not exist yet, TechCrunch said.
