Irvine-based biotechnology company TAE Life Sciences has inked a contract manufacturing agreement with Foxsemicon Integrated Technology Inc. (FITI) in Taiwan to develop targeted radiation treatments.
Under the agreement, FITI will manufacture and test components while TAE Life Sciences will perform final system assembly, integration and installation.
“This partnership with FITI strengthens our manufacturing supply chain at a critical point in our growth where scalability is going to be a key factor in our success,” Rob Hill, chief executive of TAE Life Sciences, said in a statement.
TAE Life Sciences was spun out of Foothill Ranch-based nuclear fusion company TAE Technologies in 2017. The company built the Alphabeam system, which is a compact, accelerator-based boron neutron capture therapy designed to treat cancers at the cellular level.
