A NOT GUILTY plea has been entered by a man accused of shooting nude video of lifeguards changing clothes in a locker room
A plea of not guilty has been entered by a man suspected of shooting video of nude male employees while they changed clothes in the locker room of the Bolsa Chica Lifeguard headquarters in Huntington Beach.
According to the Orange County District Attorney’s office, Kevin Pearsall, 59, of Long Beach pleaded not guilty to five felony eavesdropping charges, but has been also charged with 23 misdemeanor charges of secretly filming another person and three misdemeanor charges of unlawful dissemination of private recordings.
Pearsall is a former superintendent with the California State Parks.
He faces a maximum sentence of 18 years
He faces a maximum sentence of 18 years and eight months in Orange County Jail if convicted of all charges.
He turned himself in on June 23 on a $500,000 arrest warrant and was released on his own recognizance by a judge.
Pearsall was employed by the California State Parks since 1994 until he retired in July 2025 after he was placed on administrative leave while under investigation.
The investigation by the California Highway Patrol identified 23 men who had been filmed by a hidden camera allegedly placed in the employee locker room by Pearsall.
