COSTA MESA, CA — A man was taken into custody after he apparently broke onto the tarmac at John Wayne Airport and stole a tug, KTLA reported.
The incident happened at around 5:30 p.m. when the passenger, only identified as a man, was booked on a Delta Air Lines flight to Seattle, the report said.
The man breached a gate and then gained
The man breached a gate and then gained access to the airfield before stealing an Alaska Airlines tug, a vehicle used to pull luggage and cargo, and crashing it into another vehicle, the report said.
The man tried to steal another airline truck before he was taken into custody by Airport Police Services, the report said.
