Beta Bionics today announced a partnership to integrate its automated insulin delivery systems with Maryland-based Senseonic’s Eversence 365 implantable sensor, which is capable of measuring glucose levels for up to one year.
The first integrated system is expected to launch commercially in the fourth quarter of this year.
“This collaboration with Senseonics will expand our reach to a larger group of people with diabetes and empower them with maximum choice in the devices they rely on to manage their diabetes,,” Beta Bionics Chief Executive Sean Saint said in a statement.
Shares in Irvine-based Beta Bionics were up 6.8% to $25.53 and a $1.2 billion market cap following the announcement (Nasdaq: BBNX).
