KFDM News has just learned Jamaal Howard has not been executed as scheduled
Speaking with KFDM news anchor Kimberly Rusley, Howard’s attorney, Don Bailey, says they are awaiting a decision from the U.S. Supreme Court on three separate appeals.
Howard’s execution was set for 6:00 p.m. As of 6:40 p.m., Bailey had not received a decision.
“No, he has not been executed,” says Bailey.
The execution will not move forward until a decision is made.
Howard is being put to death for the 2000 murder of Vickie Swartout at a convenience store in Silsbee.
