Johnson & Johnson today announced new clinical data for two pulsed field ablation devices designed to treat atrial fibrillation, a condition causing an irregular heartbeat.
The findings were presented at the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society 2026 annual meeting in South Korea.
Data from the Varipure device study showed 100% acute procedural success in 225 patients treated with the Varipulse Pro platform. Meanwhile, 82.5% of 136 patients treated with the Omnypulse had no recurrence of abnormal heart rhythms after 12 months.
New Jersey-based Johnson and Johnson has its J&J MedTech campus in Irvine with approximately 1,900 local employees.
